The Hip Hop Foundation of Philadelphia is proud to announce the next edition of Graffiti Lounge: The Wednesday Cypher & Producers Showcase, taking place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Container Village, 49th & Parkside Avenue in Philadelphia.

This event continues the Foundation’s growing effort to create meaningful Hip Hop-centered spaces where artists, producers, media platforms, and community members can come together around authentic culture.

The Graffiti Lounge is being developed as a community-centered Hip Hop cultural venue, outdoor performance space and Graffiti History Museum at Container Village in West Philadelphia.

Its mission is larger than simply hosting concerts. The space is intended to give emcees, DJs, producers, beatboxers, breakers, graffiti writers, photographers, filmmakers, podcasters, historians, independent artists, young people and neighborhood residents a place where Hip Hop can be performed, practiced, documented, taught and preserved.

The Graffiti Lounge's programming is deliberately structured around Hip Hop as an interconnected culture. The official program emphasizes emceeing, DJing, breaking and Hip Hop dance, graffiti and wall writing, and beatboxing, while also creating space for production, media and cultural storytelling.

Special Guest: MC Tony Tee of The Ultimate 3 MC’s! A veteran MC whose roots stretch back to the formative Bronx Hip Hop scene. Tony Tee and the Ultimate 3 MCs performed alongside pioneers including Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Clark Kent, Jazzy Jay and Red Alert, with original event flyers now preserved in Cornell University’s Hip Hop Collection. On September 16, Graffiti Lounge brings living Hip Hop history into the room for a special conversation about the culture, the MC tradition and the era that helped build it. MC Tony is also the creator of Fathers Love Hip Hop Block Party in Philadelphia at Container Village.
