Perform at The AirPlay Concert Event Live at Dahlak Paradise

The Hip Hop Foundation of Philadelphia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for independent artists. Every performance helps us continue our mission of building platforms where Hip Hop artists can be seen, heard, and connected with new audiences.

Every dollar directly supports artist development, event production, community programming, marketing, and additional performance opportunities throughout the year.

What Your Donation Supports

When you perform with The Hip Hop Foundation, you're joining a growing network of artists, DJs, media professionals, promoters, and community leaders who believe in building Hip Hop from the ground up. Performing artists receive opportunities that may include:

  • A professionally produced live showcase at The AirPlay Concert Event Live at Dahlak Paradise.
  • Radio consideration and airplay on The Illest Indie Hour on 105.1 FM The Beat (Atlantic City) for FCC-compliant music.
  • Opportunities to be considered for larger Hip Hop Foundation concerts, festivals, and paid performance opportunities when available.
  • Permission to sell merchandise at Hip Hop Foundation events and connect directly with fans.
  • Promotion through The Hip Hop Foundation's website, social media platforms, radio programming, and community network.
  • Networking opportunities with DJs, promoters, artists, media, photographers, videographers, and community partners.
  • The opportunity to support a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create more stages, more exposure, and more opportunities for independent artists.

Performance Standards

To maintain a professional concert experience:

Artists are NOT permitted to perform over vocal tracks.

All performers must use instrumental or performance tracks that do not contain lead vocals.

How to Apply

To be considered for an AirPlay Concert Event performance, email your submission with the subject line: AIRPLAY BOOKING

Include the following:

  • Electronic Press Kit (EPK)
  • Artist biography
  • Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube links
  • Official website (if available)

What is an EPK?

An Electronic Press Kit (EPK) is a professional digital portfolio that includes your biography, promotional photos, music, videos, achievements, and contact information. It allows our booking team to properly review your brand and determine the best opportunities for your music.

Please note: We are unable to book artists who do not provide the required professional submission materials.

Artist Donations

Once your performance has been approved and your Performance Agreement has been issued, your donation must be received within 1-2 business days to reserve your performance slot. If donation is not received during that time, your slot will be forfeit.

Because AirPlay consistently reaches capacity, performance slots cannot be held without confirmation.

Hip Hop Foundation Members: $50 Artist Development Donation

Non-Members: $125 Artist Development Donation

Donation instructions and payment information will be included with your Performance Agreement.

Where Your Donation Goes

100% of artist donations are reinvested into The Hip Hop Foundation's nonprofit mission.

Your support helps fund:

  • Artist promotion

Every artist who invests in The Hip Hop Foundation helps create additional opportunities for the next generation of independent Hip Hoppers.

Radio Exposure

Artists who perform at AirPlay Concert Event become eligible for consideration to receive airplay on The Illest Indie Hour on 105.1 FM The Beat, one of the region's premier independent Hip Hop radio shows featuring emerging and established artists from across the country.
