The Sickest Six Emcees: Lyrically Fit and Built for Radio
Rankings For May-Jume 2026
The Sickest Six Emcees is the premier artist recognition platform of The Illest Indie Hour on 105.1 FM The Beat.
This distinction celebrates independent Hip Hop artists who have proven that they are more than a one-song moment. To earn a position among The Sickest Six, an emcee must have at least three standout songs played on The Illest Indie Hour.
One strong record can introduce an artist. Three strong records demonstrate talent, consistency, creativity and catalog depth.
The Sickest Six are not selected because of follower counts, manufactured hype, industry politics or temporary trends. These artists earn recognition by consistently creating music that commands attention, deserves repeated radio spins and represents the culture with lyrical intelligence. They are not simply making songs, They are Lyrically Fit.
