AirPlay Is A Bi-Monthly Free Event

Friday July 31st: AirPlay Concert Event Live At Dahlak Paradise!

AirPlay Live at Dahlak Paradise: Philly Energy, Brooklyn Grit, South Jersey Flavor, and Real Hip Hop Under One Roof!

West Philly, get ready. The AirPlay Concert Event Live at Dahlak Paradise is pulling back up with a lineup built for true Hip Hop heads. The kind of night where lyricism, presence, history, and underground hunger all meet in one room.

On July 31st, from 8 PM to 12 AM, The Hip Hop Foundation of Philadelphia brings its bi-monthly independent Hip Hop showcase back to Dahlak Paradise, 4708 Baltimore Avenue, for a free live performance event hosted by T.H.E., host of The Illest Indie Hour on 105.1FM The Beat in Atlantic City, every Sunday from 10 PM to 11 PM, giving independent Hip Hop artists a real FM radio platform beyond the stage.

This is a stage where indie artists get treated like headliners, where the crowd can discover new voices you won't hear on mainstream radio and where the foundational icons of Hip Hop still shake hands with the next generation. The Hip Hop Foundation’s mission is rooted in “Inspiring Community Growth through Music and Entertainment,” and AirPlay brings that mission to life through live performance, artist development, and community-centered Hip Hop culture.

CJ Da Prodigy: West Philly’s Young Voice With Something to Say

Opening the lineup with Philly pride is CJ Da Prodigy, a young emcee carrying the pressure and promise of the city on his back. CJ is representing a generation trying to push the sound into something deeper, sharper, and more honest.

His catalog shows that same balance: street-edge delivery, direct lyricism, and a hunger to be heard. With tracks like “BLISS,” “NOISE,” and “Smoke,” giving listeners a window into an artist still building, still evolving, and still representing the voice of West Philly’s new era.

Juxx Diamondz: Brownsville Brooklyn Pressure Comes to West Philly

From Brooklyn to Baltimore Avenue, Juxx Diamondz brings that raw New York underground sound. Gritty, disciplined, and built brick by brick.

Juxx is not just an emcee; he is an artist, producer, engineer, and Back Block Music Group CEO, which makes his presence bigger than one performance. He brings the full builder mentality: bars, business, production, and movement. His recent single “By Any Means (Brick By Brick)” was released in 2026, and his YouTube page is stacked with music videos, releases, live clips, and underground Hip Hop content. Definitely check him out!

J Easy Awkward: Philly’s Unfiltered Original

J Easy Awkward steps into AirPlay with a name that tells you exactly what he is not afraid to be: DIFFERENT!! A local Hip Hop artist from Philadelphia who's catalog includes songs and projects like “What Cole Said,” “The Odds,” “Not Enough Food,” “Remember?,” “My Stage,” and the 2025 project “Awks Chord.”

J Easy brings personality, concept, and performance energy. His work with Philly lyricist Dell-P on “Easy Peezie” connects him to a wider independent Hip Hop circle, and his live clips show an artist who understands that the stage is not just a place to rap - it is a place to make people remember you.

MC Tony Tee: A Living Link to Hip Hop’s Foundation

When MC Tony Tee touches the stage, the room gets more than a performance- it gets history, wisdom and lyrical jewels! Tony Tee is a Hip Hop pioneer from New York City and a member of the Ultimate 3 MCs with DJ Whiz Kid, DJ Kool Herc, and the Herculords.

That legacy is documented beyond social media. Cornell University’s Hip Hop Party and Event Flyers archive lists a 1981 flyer featuring the Ultimate 3 MCs from the Bronx, including MC Tony Tee, MC Saint Tee, MC Guy G, and DJ Whiz Kid. That means Tony Tee represents the party-flyer era, the park-jam era, the microphone-routine era-  the era before Hip Hop became a global business.

And he is still active. From preserving the culture to rocking stages with The Hip Hop Foundation, MC Tony Tee brings the foundation into the present tense. For younger artists on the bill, sharing a flyer with Tony Tee is not just a booking - it is a blessing from the lineage.

His energy fits the AirPlay mission perfectly: consistent, independent, hungry, and ready to stand in front of the people. Look forward to seeing him Headline the show Friday!

Tin $tacks: South Jersey Wordplay With Major-League Bite

Tin $tacks, brings South Jersey presence and lyrical ambition to the AirPlay lineup. His YouTube page notes that his influences include artists such as Jay-Z, Nas, Common, and André 3000, and explains that the childhood nickname Tin Tin eventually evolved into Tin $tacks.

Tin’s public catalog includes the 2026 Real Humans project, and the track “Real Handlers” connects him directly with CJ Da Prodigy, giving this AirPlay lineup its own built-in chemistry. His visuals, including “Ride” featuring Westside Boogie, show an artist who is not afraid to stand next to elite lyricists and still make his presence felt.

Kotta Ranks is a co-creator and co-host of The Prospective Podcast, a monthly Hip Hop event and interview platform based at Khyber Pass Pub in Center City Philadelphia, featuring live DJ mixes by Kotta Ranks and in-depth interviews led by ULTRAMAG7.

His background runs deep. He hosted a radio show on 89.9 WLIU for three years and interviewed emerging artists including classic Emcees like, Queen Latifah, A Tribe Called Quest, Redman, EPMD, and Das EFX. That is the kind of DJ resume that does not just play records- it curates the room.

The AirPlay Concert Event Live at Dahlak Paradise has become one of The Hip Hop Foundation of Philadelphia’s signature platforms for independent Hip Hop.  It's a free, no-cover showcase at Dahlak Paradise, 4708 Baltimore Avenue, running from 8 PM to 12 AM and built around live performances, community energy, and discovering Philly talent since it began in 2011.

Dahlak Paradise itself is part of the magic. A long-running West Philly restaurant, bar, and cultural gathering place, Dahlak has supported food, music, and neighborhood nightlife for decades. Its intimate room gives AirPlay that classic underground feeling, close enough to feel every bar, every beat drop, every crowd reaction, and every moment where an artist turns into a fan favorite.

That is the heart of AirPlay: a free Hip Hop showcase where independent artists are not treated like side acts. They are treated like the culture.

Pull up. Bring somebody. Support independent Hip Hop. Catch the artists before everybody else says they knew them first.
